A man who openly lies on camera that Ethiopians did not pay for the GERD is not concerned with sovereignty. Abiy Ahmed has no problem with Sudan take over of Fashaga. He "turned the page" on that long ago. What does Ethiopia "actually project across the frontier today?" Not weakness of Ethiopia or Ethiopians but Amhara-hating weakness of Oromuma party and leader. If Shabia and OLF,with Sudan backing, return to massacre Amhara in Asosa again, expect approval of occupation and another page to be turned. Egypt, Eritrea and Somalia Discuss Horn Security Without Ethiopia at the Table Somali Report - Egypt, Eritrea and Somalia have held high-level diplomatic discussions focused on security developments in the Horn of Africa, Red Sea stability and strengthening bilateral cooperation, as regional alignments continue to evolve. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held separate talks with Eritrea’s Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Somalia’s Foreign Minister Abdulsalam Abdi Ali, with discussions focusing on enhancing strategic partnerships and strengthening bilateral relations. According to Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meetings also covered coordination of positions and recent developments in the Horn of Africa region. Cairo has increasingly described the security and stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea as closely linked to its own national security interests. Egyptian officials have repeatedly said instability in the region, particularly around key maritime routes, could have wider implications for Egypt’s strategic interests. The talks followed a recent meeting between Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki and Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in Asmara, where the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, developments in Sudan and regional issues. Egypt and Eritrea have strengthened coordination in recent months on Horn of Africa affairs, maritime security and Red Sea issues. Both countries have supported Sudan’s army leadership in the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. Egypt has also expanded cooperation with Somalia and Eritrea through agreements focused on maritime transport and port connectivity. Cairo recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Mogadishu aimed at strengthening cooperation in maritime transport and ports, following a similar agreement with Eritrea. Egypt, Eritrea and Somalia have maintained that security and management of the Red Sea should remain the responsibility of countries bordering the waterway. The growing cooperation among the three countries has attracted attention from Ethiopia. In May, Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Egypt of pursuing what it described as an “encirclement” strategy following Addis Ababa’s renewed focus on securing maritime access. Abiy Ahmed has said his government will continue seeking sea access through peaceful and diplomatic means. #Egypt #Somalia #Eritrea #Ethiopia #Tigray...

Mr. Ambassador, we have witnessed you and your team have been visiting several parts of Ethiopia, apparently hoping to ease growing anger and frustration, particularly in Tigray, Amhara, and the Benishangul-Gumuz region. However, to every Ethiopian and friends of Ethiopia, these visits also appear intended to improve the image of the Prosperity Party and strengthen Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali’s government. As we all know that the Fano movement’s struggle to protect the Amhara people from what it views as & is an existential threat has intensified, while the TPLF has declared its readiness to prevent another devastating conflict in Tigray. Your team attempt to preserve the Abiy Ahmed government, despite serious allegations of atrocities and ethnic persecution, would be both futile and is dangerous. Such intervention risks prolonging Ethiopia’s political crisis and extending the suffering of its people. Mr. Ambassador, you should condemn the ethnic and religion based killings and atrocities committed by Abiye Ahmed Ali government, you should condemn the Killings of innocent civilians in Amhara region by PP’s drones , the weapon transfer to Sudan by Abiye Ahmed Ali and UAE where used to massacre innocent civilians. Your actions don’t represent American values....

Eritrea is a shadow proxy of the Sudan war. General Burhan’s brief visit to Asmara this week is the latest sign of deepening coordination between Eritrea and Sudan’s military leadership. While presented as routine talks on bilateral relations, it fits a clearer pattern: Eritrea has provided political backing, logistical support, training, and territory for SAF-aligned forces since the conflict began. Reports from multiple sources indicate Eritrean airfields have been used for drone operations, arms have moved through Eritrean territory, and camps in western Eritrea have hosted SAF-linked groups. This is not passive diplomacy. It is material involvement that helps one side sustain its fight. Sudan’s war has already killed tens of thousands, displaced millions, and triggered one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. External actors choosing sides and supplying the machinery of war are making the conflict longer and bloodier, not shorter. Eritrea’s government often portrays itself as a victim of regional politics. In reality, it has repeatedly inserted itself into its neighbors’ conflicts from Ethiopia to Sudan using instability as a tool of influence. The human cost is paid by ordinary Sudanese and Eritreans alike. This visit is not just about “shared interests.” It is proof that Eritrea is helping keep one faction in Sudan’s brutal civil war afloat. https://t.co/8tKAQYawIz...

🔺Last year, January 2025 was the first time I traveled to my birth place #Ethiopia🇪🇹 since the war in #Tigray. Given my often publicly expressed outrage about atrocities committed in #Tigray during the war, especially a foreign entity (#Eritrea)being involved in the conflict, as well as my advocacy on behalf of people of #Tigray, it was expected for me to be curious and try to look into #Tigray and #Tegaru, while I was in the country. Upon my return to the #US, I discussed what I have learned in my travels and the sentiment of #Tegaru I encountered in #AddisAbaba with a friend, who was with me making the "case" of #Tigray in the diaspora. He readily dismissed me, telling me that I was just dazzelled by the newly installed and spruced up bright lights of Addis Ababa. In fact, he admonished me for traveling to #Ethiopia, my birth place, while a government that I criticized was still in power. Implying that I was supposed to impose self-exiling as a form of protest, isolating myself from family, friends and a country of my birth indefinitely. That was when it started to dawn on me that throughout the war in Tigray, the fog was a whole lot thicker than the regular fog of war. The manipulation was way craftier than run-on-the-mill persuasion. As I repeatedly stated, I NEVER regret that I advocated for people of #Tigray. I vociferously condemned #Eritrea's involvement in the war and #Ethiopian government and its supporters, "otherizing" #Tegaru through toxic propaganda. If any other ethnic group in #Ethiopia is subjected to the same way and level of intensity, I definitely would do it again. However, looking back, I realized I was manipulated in more than few ways. The first one was the unprovoked TPLF attack on Ethiopian 2nd command army base. Which has Ignited the war. For the longest time, I believed that was IMPOSSIBLE and it never happened. Now, I hear TPLF commanders, who are still in charge not only admitted it, but brag about doing it. It doesn't mean this justifies the atrocities committed on people of Tigray, but it reveals that TPLF is equally (perhaps even more) is responsible to it. The second one is my encounter with young Tegaru, who left Tigray for Addis and the rest of the country in my January 2025 trip to Ethiopia. Many of them were participated in the war, wounded and some lost limbs, their eyesight and all of them psychologically scarred. The conversation I had with them ripped me with guilt about the sloganeering and bravado we do on Twitter and Facebook in the diaspora from our air-conditioned houses and comfortable couches, gambling with their lives and futures. These young folks were participants of today's demonstration in Addis Ababa. Their demonstration in heavily pouring rain today was a call to end the gambling with their lives by the TPLF. To end the hypocrisy of the TPLF supporting members of the diaspora and a demand to return to normalicy. A demand to reconciliation and a first walk for a long way of healing....

ERITREA — For nearly three years, the Abiy Ahmed regime has been moving toward an open confrontation with #Eritrea. From illegal claims over Assab to statements questioning Eritrea’s sovereignty, the regime’s actions have fueled speculation that it may eventually attempt to use force to try "invading" the Eritrean port, capacities aside. So far, however, no military actions has materialized largely because Eritrea has chosen a cautious response and avoided being drawn into a military conflict on Abiy Ahmed's terms or timetable. Meanwhile, the regime has become increasingly consumed by mounting internal conflicts that continue to drain its military, economy, and political capital. Eritrea’s best strategy for now is, therefore, not to be distracted by the desperate provocation acts and instead allow Ethiopia's internal crises to further erode the regime's strength from within. With #Sudan and #Egypt also facing the consequences of Abiy Ahmed’s confrontational foreign policy decisions, closer regional coordination may become increasingly important in countering what they perceive as a "threat". As long as Abiy Ahmed continues to pursue these political and security policies by choice, the priority should be to keep his regime busy by its own domestic challenges at every opportunity. When the circumstances are favorable, meaningful and practical steps should be taken to accelerate political change in Ethiopia. 💯 Under the incompetent Abiy Ahmed, the ruling Prosperity Party has become a liability to Ethiopia itself and an increasingly serious threat to regional stability and the security of its neighbors. #My2Cents...

Gaza has self-rule under Hamas since their 2007 takeover. Israel withdrew all settlers and troops in 2005. Israel and Egypt run border controls (Erez/Kerem Shalom and Rafah) to block weapons and attack materials after Hamas's rockets, tunnels, and assaults. Egypt acts independently at Rafah for its security. This creates checked imports for food, goods, and medical needs. Hamas allocates resources internally. No identical setup exists. Closest conflict parallels: Azerbaijan's restrictions on Nagorno-Karabakh and Ethiopia's on Tigray, where neighbors limited access amid hostilities with opposing forces. Dear @USEmbassyAddis @AfricaUnions @UNOSAPG @IntlCrimCourt @amnestyusa @Refugees @StateDept @EU_Commission @UKParliament @UN_HRC @UN Everything that happened in Rwanda has happened in Tigray. ... Very few of their resemblances: • Tutsi (like Tegaru) used to attack frequently • They were killed and denied all their rights. • Tutsis were given a leaf name berero (#cockroache) just like Tigray Junta • Tutsis had a solution called #RPF (Rwandan Patriotic Front), just like Tigray #TDF. RTF has been updated to be tarnished by the government and its people. Let it be, RPF has stopped the genocide - just like TDF is doing. • Government soldiers were homeless who entered to get free drugs and alcohol - just like Ethiopian soldiers • President Habiyarimana's party just like the Amhara National Movement - ANM organized a group of dangerous gangsters called Fano, Interahamwe. Interahamwe have been trained by government soldiers on how to rob and kill many street walkers - just like Fano is being fully supported by Ethiopian soldiers to rob and kill. • Interhamwe (just like Fano) wore a bright red, yellow and green coloured T-shirt that resembles their party flag. • Interahamwe (Fano) used to attack Tutsi by closing roads, stopping buses, asking for IDs. Just 4/5 years ago, they closed federal roads from Addis Ababa to Tigray, and the Tegaru passengers were killed on the bus. • The Hutus had a radio called #RTLM, just like #ESAT tv (+Amhara and Ethiopian Radio and Television). RTLM anti-tootsi poison spitting was more than a hate machine. • The Rwanda national radio used to broadcast hate propaganda openly. The program leader introduced the Amazians as scary as wild animals living in the jungle, those who eat human flesh, have sex with monkeys, and have horns on their heads because they are animals. Ethiopian public and private media not only improved from Rwanda and spread hate 95 Ethiopian people have been calling for 5 to kill Tigray people. They are still working hard. • The Rwanda genocide campaign was carried out in Tutsi with the full participation and support of the government. Just like the Ethiopian government has cooperated with its entire army, the Eritrea army, the whole Ethiopian people, regional special forces, militia etc to destroy Tigray completely. • Tutsi's corpses were thrown into the river, their killers used to say "we are sending you to Ethiopia" - they are told that Tutsi've left Ethiopia. Ethiopian soldiers including Mahibere Dago are killing innocent people in Tigray, throwing them to the cliff and dancing proudly taking pictures with the corpses. • It is said that Rwanda's killer government had imported 581 tonnes of crocodile. In Ethiopia, when the Tigray war started, around 186,240 crocodiles were caught on one customs record. Imagine it was caught in the hands of the killers. These crocodiles have been used on innocent people like Mai Kadra, Dansha etc. These are just a few of them. So similar in so many ways. @BerhanuAsres #WesternTigray #ምዕራብትግራይ #ስቓይ #ተመዛበልትና #Justice4TigrayGenocide and #EthnicCleasening...

He’s confusing modern national identity with 19th-century history. #Egypt fought Emperor Yohannes IV and the Ethiopian Empire, and its ambitions were tied to controlling the #Nile—#Abay. The same struggle continues today through proxies working against #Ethiopia. #Eritrea, as a colonial political entity, was created by #Italy in 1890. Projecting today’s Eritrean nationalism backward into that era is historical fabrication an ideology born in Sahel by Sahel monkey and now repeated by refugee driven more by trauma, resentment, and Hawela stress than by facts....

As war fears grow in #Ethiopia, women soldiers recount the sexual violence they experienced Much of the focus on rights violations during the war has centred on the atrocities perpetrated by #Ethiopian forces, and their #Eritrean and #Amhara allies, as they moved to crush a rebellion by the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (#TPLF) party, and the #TDF militia that had emerged to defend their homeland. But justice for Tigrayan women also means turning a critical eye to the sexual violence committed by TDF officers against female comrades in arms – many of whom had joined the ranks looking for protection from the abuses they had witnessed. Acknowledging those experiences has implications for the role of women in present-day #Tigrayan society, and the much-delayed process of transitional justice – truncated once more by the threat of renewed conflict involving the federal government and #Eritrea. https://www.thenewhumanitarian.org/feature/2026/07/15/war-ethiopia-women-soldiers-sexual-violence https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1459540576211174&set=a.640726111425962&type=3...

The Solomonic Dynasty and Israelite Continuity in Northeast Africa (Ethiopia) and South Arabia The Kəbrä Nägäst, a majestic medieval repository of sacred national memory, records how the Queen of Sheba—Mākkədā, who ruled the ancient Sabaean Kingdom encompassing modern Yemen, Ethiopia, and Eritrea—journeyed to Jerusalem, conceived Əbnä Ḥakīm (Menelik I) with King Solomon, and returned bearing the royal seed that would establish the Davidic line in Ethiopia and Yemen. Emperor Yekuno Amlak invoked this lineage in 1270 to restore the ancient house after the Zagwe interregnum, and the Solomonic emperors ruled with it as their Divine charter until Emperor Haile Selassie I. Ethiopian Orthodoxy bears living witness to this Hebraic foundation: practices such as the Saturday Sabbath (in historical observance), eighth-day circumcision, dietary laws, and the profound veneration of the Ark (Tābōt) reveal a Judeo-Christian synthesis that originates in First Temple-era Judaism and transcends later influences. The Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews), too, who preserve traditions of descent from the Tribe of Dan or refugees from the Temple’s destruction, maintain ancient Israelite customs amidst the highland kingdoms. These traditions (Christian and Jewish) entwine in the shared religiocultural fabric of an Israelite-infused civilization that resisted Islamic expansion for seven centuries and defeated seven major sultanates while guarding its ancient, biblical heritage and calling. Linguistically, the evidence is equally compelling. Ge’ez and its descendants—Amharic, Tigrinya, and others—belong to the South Semitic branch and are intimately linked to Ancient South Arabian (Sabaic) and rich in Hebrew cognates. The arrival of Ethio-Semitic speech around 2,800-3,000 years ago coincides precisely with the era of heightened Red Sea contact and the biblical Solomonic age, embedding Levantine genetic, cultural, and religious elements into the Horn. Genetically, modern analysis confirms what tradition has long proclaimed: northern Ethiopian populations (Amhara and Tigray) carry approximately 40-60% West Eurasian, Levantine ancestry, introduced roughly 3,000 years ago; which aligns with the introduction of Semitic languages and the Sheba-Solomon timeframe. This Levantine genetic signature, though diluted in some groups through local admixture, reveals the demographic reality behind the elite cultural transmission that formed Solomonic legitimacy. Hence, the Solomonic claim stands not as mere medieval "propaganda," but as the profound synthesis of genetic influx, linguistic kinship, theological continuity, and collective historical memory. It reflects a real, First Temple-era Israelite-Sheban heritage that took root in the Horn of Africa and South Arabia, producing one of history’s most enduring Judeo-Christian (literally) civilizations. The Lion of Judah emblem, which the Solomonic dynasty bore, embodies a bloodline, a faith, and an eschatological vision—thus being unerasable....

As Eritreans, we know whoever is leading Ethiopia—whether Amhara, Tigrayan, or Oromo—is always intent on destroying Eritrea. Low-IQ Eritreans who call themselves Habesha need to recognize that. Ethiopia is our enemy, not the Arabs, you dumb fucks.

Who exacerbated the chaos and delusion? TPLF Who created or encouraged the province of Ethiopia known as Eritrea to secede? TPLF Who died mostly on the battlefield for Eritrea's secession? Tigray people After secession without a document, who gave Assab and Messawa to the secessionist Shabiya as a gift and gave their approval? TPLF Which individual directed Ethiopians to refrain from engaging in discussions regarding their own ports? TPLF Before the Eritrean secession and during the arm struggle in Tigray, what was the slogan of Shabiya and Tigray? AMHARA, ETHIOPIA Who was responsible for the most deaths among Ethiopians over the course of 27 years, during which time they seized power? TPLF Why are we now discussing this fact or truth that was refuted and brainwashing the Tigray people with false narratives? No choice except the truth and the whole truth. What happened in Tigray that made it a deal to sell its own people to Egypt, Sudan, Shabiya, and Somalia so they could attack and destroy Ethiopia? It is undeniable that Ethiopia controls all of Eritrea; this is a fact that is documented in the history books and is universally acknowledged by the Ethio-Eritrean populace. Lastly, Tigrigna, a sibiling of Amharic, was spoken in Eritrea. The plot includes the establishment of Eritrea (ian) wi in Geez and Tigra (ian) wi in Geez. ETHIOPIA will prevail!🇪🇹🇺🇸☮️🕊️...

@DanielsonKassa1 I doubt Eritrea cares much about Ethiopia. Certainly not since it won its independence and did not want to rule Ethiopia by going in with TPLF. In fact, if Eritrea had gone in with them, it would still be in control today. The obsession is yours only

@obomboleti87632 The 'TPLF made Ethiopia landlocked' claim is false. Eritreans voted 99.8% for independence in a UN observed 1993 referendum. TPLF didn't secede Eritrea,Eritrea liberated itself. Blaming Tigrayans for lawful self determination ≠ argument. Ethiopia had Assab access until 1998 war.

In this fascinating interview, Semhal Meles denounces what the TPLF has become today. Here is just one powerful quote: "Children are being ripped from their mothers' hands and sold to God knows who, God knows what camp in Eritrea". She doesn't mince her words about things like the TPLF sending a captive workforce of Tigrayan women into gold mines in contact with dangerous chemicals. Good on Semhal! Her conscience has been stirred by the suffering of her people. Yes, I know, she still fully condones her father's dictatorship and the TPLF's tyranny in Ethiopia until 2018, she exonerates the TPLF from the escalation towards war from 2018 to 2020, she frames the war as a one-way street of violence against Tigrayans (using the term "genocide"), and she even delusionally claims that the war was "a victory" for her side. Put all that aside for now. She has been conditioned to hold those views since she was born. There is no such mitigating factor in the perspective of Tsedale Lemma, the interviewer, who pushes back and insistently relativizes the TPLF's oppression of Tigrayans by suggesting violence is the order of the day in Ethiopia and that all this grew out of the PP's war conduct. Tsedale is now more TPLF hardliner than Semhal. https://t.co/ND9uHwGeMg...

📍 HORN OF AFRICA On July 10, a drone strike killed several senior commanders of Army 70 in al-Kurmuk, Sudan. Army 70 is the Tigray People's Liberation Front's armed contingent fighting inside Sudan on behalf of the Sudanese army. Eritrean soldiers were among the casualties. This is what Sudan's war actually looks like in 2026. The Sudanese army retook al-Kurmuk from its rivals on July 8 after months of fighting. Al-Kurmuk controls the corridor from western Ethiopia through the Nile Valley toward Khartoum and guards the approaches to the Roseires Dam, Sudan's primary electricity infrastructure. Army 70 numbers in the tens of thousands. It draws from TPLF fighters, defected Ethiopian army personnel, and Tigrayan refugees recruited into the ranks. The arrangement is now effectively mercenary — financial incentive sustaining soldiers in a conflict far removed from their original cause. Eritrean forces have moved from backing the Sudanese army at a distance to direct participation on the ground. Both feature in the Tsimdo alignment — a coalition of actors bound by shared antagonism toward the Ethiopian government, coordinating across Sudan, Eritrea, and the Ethiopian border zone. The July 10 strike deals a blow to that coalition's cohesion at the moment it was consolidating. https://t.co/906lpDELEX...

The secession of Eritrea, particularly the decision of TPLF to make Ethiopia landlocked, was procedurally unjust & unlawful. For a country its vital economic interests tied to the Red Sea, the loss of direct sea access has had lasting strategic and economic implication https://t.co/cxaI0WNL4b
